| | Today is the last day of June. as such, my summer break is half over. In some ways, it seems as though I just started summer (such as, it does not seem as though I've been working that long). In other ways, such as missing my friends, and yes, school, it seems an interminably long time to wait until I get back to TWU.
This next year, according to plan, is going to be my final year at Trinity. It's an odd feeling to know that a chapter in your life is about to close. I love being a student. I love classes, the people, even the work I have to do. True, I also love the fact that I get to spend time not having to work for my living as well.
speaking of work, yesterday was the annual chili cookoff, one of several cookoffs logos does during the year. It was a lot of fun (though some ppl's idea of what "chili" and "spicy" mean are suspect to investigation). My only complaint is that more ppl seem to call when no one is available than at any other time of day/week/month. it all works out I guess.
In other news, Liz and I went to Seattle last weekend (I meant to post then, but was a little busy). it was a lot of fun. we went through pike's place market (and bought beads for nacklaces), toured seattle's underground, (which has nothing to do with a railroad), and went to the zoo. We also attended an evening service of Mar's Hill Church, which both of us highly enjoied, even if the band did kinda suck. All in all a great weekend with little/no rest. fun times. |
